Two generations ago when the school was welcoming its sixth class of college freshman, students were coping with draft boards, campus master plans and welcoming Aaron Copland for a 70th birthday celebration in the form of a four day festival. BeeBee Fenstermaker by William Snyder was challenging the third year drama students and draft counselors were offering information and advice on the Vietnam draft boards.
