The UNCSA Archives exists as the institutional memory of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and maintains the permanent records of the School. Each department is responsible for managing records they create in accordance with university, state, and federal guidelines; however, Archives staff can assist University employees in understanding those guidelines and managing their records.
Please see the School's Records Retention Policy for information about records management roles on campus and the UNCSA-Specific Records Retention and Disposition Schedule for specific retention and transfer guidelines for performance-related records.
