The UNCSA Library is delighted to offer access to The New York Times to all current students and faculty and staff.
To begin, click our sign up link to activate your digital pass! For detailed instructions and tips on setting up your account, please visit the Setting up your account section of this guide.
A few quick things to note:
- Student accounts will expire on December 31st of the student's graduation year. Faculty and staff will need re-activate their accounts once every 4 years. If you're unexpectedly encountering a paywall, your account may have expired. Please visit the Re-activating your account section of this guide.
- Your account will be set up using your UNCSA-issued email address and a unique password. We do NOT use Single Sign On for NYT (but other organizations do, so you may see it as an option).
- Our access currently includes unlimited access to news articles. We do not currently offer "All-Access." You may encounter a paywall when trying to play select Games, access recipes via NYT Cooking, or read features on Wirecutter or The Athletic. Please visit the What's included in our access? section of this guide for more details.
- Our current subscription includes archival access, with limitations. For additional, unlimited archival coverage of The New York Times (1851-2021) please visit our ProQuest New York Times archive.
