Film production in the Library

A set of guidelines for using library spaces for production, filming and auditions/casting.

The Library has many spaces that are conducive to filming--modern architectural settings, landscape vistas, and traditional library/learning spaces. Additionally, we have meeting rooms for auditions and castings. We want to accommodate the needs of students from the School of Filmmaking, but must balances those with other students who may desire quiet study. In order to shoot or hold auditions/casting in the UNCSA Library and Learning Commons, you must do the following things:

-Complete the On-Campus Location and Release Form

-Complete any paperwork assigned by your professor

-Meet with the University Librarian at least 2 weeks before filming (production only)

-Audition spaces fill up quickly, a 2 week lead time is also recommended

Thanks so much! We look forward to working with you.
