Course reserves are library- or faculty-owned physical materials held for students at a library service desk or electronic resources made available through Canvas. For physical materials, please use the Course Reserves Request form at the bottom of this page.
The UNCSA Library provides limited digitization services to faculty. Requested materials will be scanned in accordance with the Fair Use doctrine for educational purposes and for use in courses only. Please submit digitization requests here.
Adding the UNCSA EZproxy prefix (https://login.proxy123.nclive.org/login?url=) to the permalink URL for a library resource allows off-campus students to log in with their UNSCA email address and password to directly access the database content. It also gives on-campus students direct access. Note: This tool requires JavaScript enabled in your browser to work.

If you need to stream films as part of Digital Reserves for a course, please send an email to Christia Thomason (thomasonc@uncsa.edu) with the full course number and name and the titles you are requesting (alternately you can send a copy of your syllabus). Library staff will create an unpublished Digital Reserves module in your Canvas course consisting of Canvas Studio pages and/or links to licensed content. You can decide how to use the pages and links in your course design.
Turnaround time for most courses is typically 24-48 hours, but if we must order materials, that time will increase. To ensure the best possible outcome we ask that you send your lists at least 2 weeks before the start of term. For additions and changes during the semester we appreciate as much lead time as possible but will endeavor to work as quickly as possible to fulfill your request. We will communicate any delays to you.
Please send any questions to Christia Thomason.
Please use this form to request items to be placed on course reserve. Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing.
