Streaming Video

The Library subscribes to many databases with streaming recorded performances, allowing you to review productions in detail. Here is a selection: 

BroadwayHD Collection: select plays and musicals direct from Broadway

Drama Online: National Theatre Collection: recordings of well-known plays from the Royal National Theatre of Great Britain

Digital Theatre+: performances from top theatres along with supplementary learning materials

Kanopy: find "Music, Theatre & Dance" under Browse by Subject to see live performances 

Medici.tv: recorded performances of classical music, opera, and dance, from some of the world's most prestigious venues

Met Opera on Demand: 850+ full-length performances from the Met Opera

Video Recordings (DVDs, film reels, video cassettes, etc.)

Search our catalog to find our collection of video recordings. To look exclusively at video holdings:

  • Click Advanced Search to the right of the search box. Enter your keywords, click the drop down for Material Type, select Video/Film.
  • Or, enter your search terms in the main search box on the library homepage, then use the left hand filter options on the results page: Resource Type > Video.
PRO TIP

If you don't have a DVD player of your own, you can check one out from either the 1st or 4th floor Help Desks. Alternatively, you can utilize the 4th floor Listening/Viewing Room here at the library.
