The UNCSA Music Library is named after Dr. Benjamin F. Ward (1948-2013), who served on the UNCSA Board of Visitors from 2002-13. A pianist, organist, and singer who earned a PhD in Philosophy at Yale University in 1972, Dr. Ward taught for many years in the Department of Philosophy at Duke University.
